Fay and Stephanie

We are a mother/daughter team, who have purposely built a cattery with our guests comfort in mind. We both love animals and have worked in other animal facilities before opening our own cattery.

We live on the property and own 2 wonderful cats (Ollie and Charlie) and a beautiful little dog (Lily).

Fay is an ex-nurse and administrator and Stephanie has volunteered at different animal facilities and has completed a course in animal care and animal first aid.

Notice:

We are sorry to say to all of our regular customers that we have sold the cattery. We have loved running the cattery all of these years and will greatly miss all of our guests and customers.

The new owners will be taking over as of 21st May 2026. This will not affect any current or future bookings, as they will be continuing to run the cattery.

Here is a letter from the new owners (Bex and Martin):

To the Dear customers of Miss Lilly’s Cattery.

We are Bex and Martin and will be the new owners of Miss Lilly’s Cattery.

To say that we are excited about looking after your Cats, would be an understatement.

This has been a goal and dream of ours for many years and with our skills combined, we are confident that we will keep Miss Lilly’s going and growing for decades to come.

I (Bex) have 10 years’ experience looking after all kinds of Cats from every background. Through volunteering at Cats Protection Wellington and working at Central Vet Hospitals Cattery.

I have learnt how to enrich an indoor lifestyle, how to quietly coax a sad kitty to eat, what to do when a Cat is stressed, and recognise when a Cat is in distress or needs some extra love. We strive to make their stay with us as comfortable and as fun as possible.

Martin has all the tech skills and has learnt a lot in regard to handling Cats, calming Cats and being a brilliant Cat Dad to our two rescue Cats, Smogg and Lilith.

I hope that it will ease your minds to know that your Cats will continue to be loved as if they were out own, while in our care.

Nothing price wise or operating hours will change when we take over.

If any adjustments need to be made in the future, we will inform everyone ahead of time.
